Castleton Farms — The Castleton Festival & Châteauville Foundation
A concert at Castleton, in the wonderful intimacy of the Theatre House and the spectacular surroundings of Castleton Farms, is a unique experience. The property and acoustically superb performance space, seating just 130, are jewels created by artistic directors Lorin and Dietlinde Maazel to nurture performers and audience alike. Castleton Farms is also home to The Castleton Festival. First presented in 2009, the annual festival presents fully staged operas, symphonic concerts, recitals, chamber music and open master classes. With performances beginning in late June and running throughout July at Castleton Farms and other locations both within and outside Rappahannock County, this festival marries the best young talent from around the world to study, collaborate and perform within a bucolic country setting.
