RLEP Biodiversity Initiative’s Butterfly Day
Join the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection’s Biodiversity Initiative's Butterfly Day at the property of Bruce and Susan Jones. Joe Coleman, president of the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy and a member of the North American Butterfly Association will talk about the importance of butterflies and how to identify common native species. Then you’ll take a walk with Joe, Bruce, and local Master Naturalists through the Joneses’ naturalized meadows to identify butterflies and learn about their habitat needs. Children and adults are invited, so bring a picnic lunch and make this a family event. To make reservations or for more information, call Jenny Fitzhugh at the phone number below or send us an email.
Rates: Free, but reservations required
